Holiday shopping done? Check. Work party celebrated? Check. At least one live holiday performance attended? Check.  This weekend Chez Hay had the privilege of hosting two holiday parties and the Nutcracker cast and families’ after-party. We also kept busy catering eight holiday parties and six graduations. Take a look at some of the photos from the events below.

Some of the food guests enjoyed over the weekend included Asian Bacon Wrapped Shrimp, Red Coconut Curry Meatballs, Hot Bruschetta, Spring Rolls, Cranberry Orange Chevre Cheese Ball, Champagne Brie Dip, Orange Roughy, Baked Ziti with Eggplant Parmesan, Dessert Buffets, and many others.

Holiday parties are in full swing around Chez Hay now! Over the weekend, Chez Hay hosted three holiday parties at our space. Food selections included Carving Stations, Chicken topped with Spinach & Prosciutto in Creamy Chardonnay Sauce, Sirloin Steak in Chipotle Cream Sauce, Chicken Marsala, Swedish Meatballs, Smashed Potatoes, Herb Roasted New Potatoes, Snow Pea and Shrimp Skewers, Bourbon Brownie Pops, Pecan Pie Tartlets, Peppermint Cake Squares, Mini Holiday Cupcakes, and a Cheesecake Bar.

With the University of Nebraska Lincoln’s Winter Graduation this coming Saturday, Chez Hay will be keeping busy with graduation festivities and the continuing holiday parties. Congratulations to UNL’s final class of 2011!

We would also like to remind everyone that we are still taking orders for the next two weeks. Chez Hay will be close at noon on December 23 and will be closed completely December 26 and January 2. Get your orders in soon!

It finally looks like winter around Lincoln!  Over 130 guests braved the snow to attend a wedding at Chez Hay this past Saturday. The newly married couple and guests enjoyed a carving station of beef and turkey, herb roasted new potatoes, a smoked salmon platter, crab and artichoke dip, a mixed green salad, and fresh fruit and cheese.
